Characters in Vehicles and On Foot do not always have the same choice of Actions as Vehicles, and they do not share the same Fire Corridor and Movement Restrictions as Vehicles due to their low speed.

In Vehicle ActionsEdit

Characters in a Vehicle count as one of either Driver, Gunner, or Passenger, Drivers always use the Vehicle Actions as long as they continue to control the Vehicle. Gunners and Passengers are free to use any Character Action they can take from the list below.

A Character can perform Dual actions with the normal -1 penalty to each action taken for rolls, most Actions can be combined to make Dual Actions but a Player cannot Declare a Dual Action with two identical Actions (E.g. a Move-Move, Shoot-Shoot, or Reload-Reload), but some actions cannot be combined as listed below.

Characters riding as a Gunner or Passenger on a Vehicle can declare a Shoot action, When the Character is a Gunner they must make Shoot actions during Vehicle Movement Phases as normal for Vehicle Weapons, Passengers may only fire their Sidearms during the Pedestrian Phase, but they may fire in a 90 Degree arc from either the left or right side of the Vehicle at the Players Choice.

Pillion Passengers on Bikes can also Fire Sidearms from their position but they may fire over either side of the vehicle as opposed to Cars where they can only fire on one or the other but not both, Bike Pillion Passengers are only able to make a Single action each Pedestrian Phase as they must also keep hold of the bike or its rider.

A Shoot Action may be combined with an Alight or Jump action.

AlightEdit

When the Vehicle a Character is in is stationary the Character may make an Alight Action to exit the vehicle at one of its doors, this places the Character on the Road beside the Vehicle they previously occupied. Only one Character may Alight for each Door the Vehicle has (3 for Light Cars, 5 for Heavy Cars, and 5 for Long Wheelbase).

An Alight action can be combined with a Shoot Action.

HackEdit

A Character in a Vehicle may attempt to use a Hack Deck or 'The Plug' to attack another Vehicle, Robot, or Drone from a Vehicle, this works using the normal Hacking Rules. The Character rolls a D6 and adds the Strength of their Attack Software and the Target rolls a D6 and adds their Defense Software Strength to the roll, if the attacker wins then they successfully Hack the Enemy Vehicle, Robot, or Drone, if the attacker rolls a 1 then the attack backfires and they suffer a virus attack as listed under Software.

A Hack Action may not be combined with another action.

JumpEdit

When a Character is in a moving vehicle they may attempt to Jump from the Vehicle to the Ground or onto another Vehicle, this is very risk and both vehicles must be Side By Side or within 2cm for a Jump to be made.

The Character rolls a D6 and attempts to roll greater than the Vehicles Speed Factor (The Speed Factor of the Vehicle they are in for jumping to the Ground, or the Speed Factor of the fastest Vehicle if they are jumping onto another vehicle), if they roll higher than the Speed Factor then they successfully make their Jump, of they roll equal to the Speed Factor they make the Jump but suffer 1 Damage, if they roll lower than the Speed Factor they take 1 Damage and must roll on the Character Critical Chart.

If the Character Jumps to the Ground they must be placed within 4cm of the Vehicle they Jumped from and they then begin their next Pedestrian Phase as normal, however, if they Jump onto another vehicle they may attempt to enter the Vehicle, if it is an allied Vehicle they may enter the Vehicle automatically, if it is an Enemy Vehicle then they must Win a Close Combat Action with the Vehicle, both the Character and Vehicle roll a D6, the Character adds any Close Combat Bonuses they gain from the Weapon they have equipped, the Vehicle adds its Armour to the result. If the Character wins they enter the Vehicle and may make Melee attacks against any Characters inside the Vehicle, in the case of a Draw the Character may try again next Phase, if the Character looses they fall from the vehicle and suffer as if they failed a Jump.

a Jump Action can be combined with a Shoot Action.

ReloadEdit

Characters armed with Sidearms or Light Weight Weapons may reload a weapon as a single Action, they remove their current (Probably empty clip) and replace it with a full one, this is done automatically and does not require a roll.

A Reload Action may not be combined with another action.

On Foot ActionsEdit

Characters on Foot can only perform actions in the Pedestrian Phase, but they have a wider array of Actions they may choose from as they are free to Move and Act without being stuck in a Vehicle.

A Character On Foot may perform Combined Actions with a -1 Penalty to any rolls made for either action, most actions have the ability to be combined with another but not all as listed below.

MoveEdit

Characters on Foot are not able to Move with the Speed of a Vehicle but they may make a Move Action during the Pedestrian Phase, the Character can Move 8cm (unless its a Dog, Drone, or has a listed Speed different from the standard), this Move can be in any direction and can include any number of turns as long as it does not exceed a total of 8cm in range. As long as a Move is made as a Single Action the Character may instead declare a Run, if they do then the Character is moved an extra 4cm at the end of their move.

Characters can Move over Small Hazard Markers and Sand Bars but not Large Hazard Markers as they are too difficult to negotiate in this way.

A Move Action may be combined with an Alight (See In Vehicle Actions), Shoot, Board, Take Cover, Reload, or Melee Actions.

A Run Action can only be combined with a Melee Action.

ShootEdit

Characters equipped with Sidearms or Light Weight Weapons can declare a Shoot Action to open fire on an enemy Vehicle or Character, this is done as normal for Shooting. The Character rolls a D6 and Adds their Weapons Accuracy and must roll higher than the distance in spaces to the target with a -1 penalty if the target is a Character, and penalties for Vehicles based on the Shooting rules for vehicles.

If the Character is using a Sidearm they may combine it with an Alight (See In Vehicle Actions), Board, or Move Action.

If the Character is using a Light Weight Weapon they may not combine it with any other Action.

A Character who has 2 One Handed Weapons Equipped may make a Shoot & Shoot action to fire both weapons at the same time, but this may not be combined with any other action.

BoardEdit

When a Character is within 2cm of a Vehicle that is not moving they may climb on board using one of the doors or simply hold on to the exterior of the vehicle, this requires no roll and is considered automatic.

A Board Action can be combined with a Move, Shoot, Reload or Melee Action.

Take CoverEdit

Characters that are within 2cm of a Large Hazard Marker or Off Road may attempt to use the scenery to gain some cover against enemy fire, this Action is Automatic and requires no roll.

A Character that is in Cover gains a +1 Armour against attacks that Shoot over the Cover but provides no bonus if the Character is Flanked or attacked from behind.

A Take Cover Action can be combined with an Alight, Move, Melee, or Reload action.

MeleeEdit

When a Character is within 2cm of another Character they may make a Melee Attack using the Close Combat rules. both Characters roll a D6 and add their Close Combat Bonus, the Character that loses takes 1 Damage.

A Melee Action can be combined with a Move, Board, Alight (See In Vehicle Actions), or Take Cover.

ReloadEdit

As with Character in a Vehicle, a Character On Foot may replace their current weapons clip with another, this requires no roll and is considered automatic.

A Reload Action can be combined with a Move, Board, Alight (See In Vehicle Actions), or Take Cover
